Our good friend Ejner69 tells me that he has created a new plugin to make life easier, Easy install . The idea of the plugin comes from a common habit of all WordPress users.
Imagine that you are looking for a plugin to do something, you go to the official repository and use the search engine, you find it and, one of two, or you download it and upload it in the old style – by FTP -, or perhaps from the WordPress plugin installer , or you go to your WordPress dashboard and, again, use the search engine to locate and install it. In any case, it’s double work, don’t you think?
Well, what Ejner proposes is to install a single plugin, Easy install , which generates a “bookmarklet” that, after adding it to the favorites bar of our favorite browser, is ready to go. I do not know if an adaptation of the script to install plugins from the browser bar , but it is “more WordPress”
The next time you are in the official repository and you find the plugin of your dreams, you just have to click on the favorite created by Easy install to install it in your WordPress, of course in which you have to have Easy install installed, otherwise the “Bookmarlet”
